In their collaborative live audiovisual performance, Frauke Boggasch, Ute Härting, and Sven Gareis navigate the intersection of experimental, purely analog music and generative visual design. Boggasch operates a modular synthesizer system, sculpting slowly evolving drone textures; her entirely analog sound synthesis is positioned precisely between noise and minimalist reduction. Härting and Gareis respond in real time, shaping the visual layer through a simultaneous, collaborative process. The focus is on the unpredictable: the beauty of chance and analog feedback loops, enriched with intricate generative digital content.

The trio actively embraces the risk of losing control—a “ghost in the machine” that generates visual worlds which pulse, fragment, and reassemble in direct dialogue with the music. Together, through strict live improvisation, they stake out a space of possibility. The system functions as a roughly defined world, explored together in a curious search—what emerges is always entirely new. The result is a deeply interwoven, interdependent interplay of analog signal flow, noise, and light; a sonic and visual journey where no two sets are ever the same.
